PONTOON BOATS WITH UPPER DECKS ARE HEAVIER THAN PONTOON BOATS WITH NO DOUBLE DECK— THAT IS A FACT.
BUT, OUR UPPER DECKS DO NOT MAKE YOUR BOAT A TANK.
What is so great about our upper deck kits are that they are light weight! The framework does not add an incredible amount of extra weight to your boat, so it does not make your pontoon boat feel like a tank. The kit uses all aluminum in the framework, so it’s light but sturdy enough for people to stand on, jump on, have a BBQ on, etc. Boats that come with an upper deck already on it, are usually heavier and tank like because of the frame work of the deck. Our framework is not the same, it’s just as strong, but lighter in weight.
With our decks attached, you won’t be pulling all day, and it will not take you forever to get around the lake either. It will be heavier, but not tank-like. So you can still spend all afternoon cruising around if you want. Or spend it jumping off the deck!
